Hello
I'm Robert. After having practiced in general law, I've found my niche and passion in helping families navigate the complex and ever changing world of family law, helping people of all ages make effective plans for their future and the future of their loved ones, and tying it all together with helping people buy, sell or transfer real estate, meaning I can see you through your family or succession matter in-house from start to finish.
My Story
I came to law relatively late in life, starting my dual Law and Arts (History & English Literature) degrees with Central Queensland University in 2013 when I was 30. With years of combined life experience, academic experience, general law experience and a deep passion for the fields I now focus on, I have knowledge combined with empathy and understanding of your real world challenges, to help you navigate what can often be complex and distressing situations.
Good legal representation starts with an honest conversation about life which includes the best of times and the worst of times. I personally experience anxiety which gives me an valuable insight if your are grappling with your own mental health. Often there is a stigma attached to mental health particularly in parenting disputes. However, the good news is if we acknowledge and face our challenges, we can still live our best lives and support the best interests of our children with help and support from those around us, be they our lawyer, doctor or loved ones.

Part of managing my own mental health is work/life balance. I believe in limiting the number of clients I take on so that you have the attention you need when you need it. Not every client is a great fit for every lawyer or vice versa, so I only take on clients I know I will be able to work well with, to increase the likelihood of achieving your goals. Sometimes we might have a chat about your circumstances and ultimately decide that I'm not the best lawyer to help you. In this case I'm always happy to refer you to someone else who might be better suited to your matter.

If I'm not working you might find me playing a round of golf, listening to my collection of vinyl records, walking on the beach or bushwalking.
